Class Descriptions
Aqua-Fit: This is offered seasonally. All exercises are done in the pool with aqua bells and noodles. Improvement in strength and aerobic capacity are some of the proven benefits of aqua exercise, with a decreased amount of force on the joints.
Barre Fusion: Plates, yoga and barre all come together in this challenging class to increase your cardiovascular strength while helping you tone, sculpt and lengthen your muscles head to toe.
Cardio Dance: Bring your sassy pants to class as you move and dance your way to a toned body. Current dance inspired sequences and music will leave you feeling energized all day.
ELDOA: An innovative method of exercise focused on improving posture, relieving pain and improving the health, performance and longevity of a given joint or spinal segment. The postures are focused and intense but easy on the body. The more you participate in class, the more pain free you will become. Developed by world-renowned osteopath, Guy Voyer, his instructors are specially trained to teach his work. Online sign up required.
Bands and Balls: This ball based training class will challenge your body by helping to strengthen and build up your core muscles. Abdominals, back, buttocks and thighs are also focused on, in this fun filled class.
Barre-Sweat: A rigorous total body workout incorporating interval training, strength, Plyo, barre and sports conditioning. This class will challenge and push you to your limits, allowing you to burn calories long after you leave!
Body Blast: This 30 minute express class is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval. Trust us, you won’t want this class to last longer!
Pilates Group Equipment: This fee based class is held in the Pilates studio. A full body workout on reformers, exo chairs and functional training equipment. Online registration required.
Pilates Mat: Key movement principles such as core activation, breathing, and spinal mobility. Increase flexibility, strengthen from the core, and improve alignment so that our bodies function efficiently for other activities, including golf.
Chair Yoga: Start the exploration of yoga while comfortably seated in a chair, feet firmly planted on the earth. Using props such as chairs, blankets, blocks and straps enables a student to feel the proper alignment in the asanas (poses) and grow into more complex levels of the asanas. This class is designed for new students and those who might have movement issues that would otherwise limit them from trying yoga.
Spin: High energy class, great for all levels of fitness. Work in different heart rate zones to burn calories efficiently while you enjoy a low impact workout. Online registration required.
Sport Stretch: This 30 minute class will focus on back, hips and shoulders so that you can perform your best on the golf course and tennis/pickleball courts.
Total Body Strength: This intermediate and high energy workout may use gliders and free weights, tubing, and stability balls. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and use the appropriate amount of resistance.
Restorative Yoga: Unwind in this slow moving class where you will accomplish a deep stretch while practicing breathing techniques.
Flow Yoga: Linking movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. The sequences of poses allow your body to cultivate a continuous flow within.
15-15-15: The best of movement rolled into one! 15 minutes cardio, 15 minutes toning and 15 minutes flexibility.
